Baylee Steele claims Chinese NBL Hoops Agents weekly honour

American Baylee Steele (213-C-1997, agency: Octagon Europe) had a very impressive game in the last round for Hubei Wenlv and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents NBL Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 28-year old center had a double-double of 39 points and 20 rebounds, while his team beat Shandong (#12, 3-7) 120-106. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings. Hubei is placed at 9th position in Chinese NBL. Hubei is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-6 record. In the team's last game Steele had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Hubei, being already a very valuable addition to the team. University of Duquesne graduate has very impressive stats this year. Steele is in league's top in rebounds (8th best: 9.8rpg) and averages solid 53.3% FGP and 42.3% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another Hubei's star - young American forward Eric Paschall (198-F-1996). Paschall impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 29 points and 11 rebounds. Of course together with Steele he helped Hubei Wenlv with another comfortable win 120-106 over the lower-ranked Shandong (#12, 3-7) being unquestionably team leader. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. But Hubei managed to improve slightly their position in standings taking 9th place. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-6 record. Paschall is one of the most experienced players at Hubei and similarly like Baylee Steele has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American Branden Frazier (191-G-1992) of Shandong Honey Badger (#12). Frazier got into 30-points club by scoring 37 points in the last round. He went also for six rebounds and seven assists. Despite Frazier's great performance the Shandong lost 106-120 to the higher-ranked Hubei (#9, 4-6). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Shandong not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 7 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Frazier could try to bring Shandong's a little bit higher in the standings. Frazier has a very solid season. In 3 games in China he scored 21.0ppg.
