Chinese WCBA round 16 best performance: Kayla Davis

Canadian Guard Kayla Davis (170-G-1995) had an amazing evening in the last round for Hebei Win Power, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 16.
The 30-year old player had a double-double of 51 points and 11 rebounds, while her team beat Shaanxi (#11, 2-14) 89-79. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings in Group A. Power maintains the 9th position in their group in the Chinese WCBA. Hebei is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 5-11 record. In the team's last game Davis had a remarkable 63.0% from 2-point range. She turned to be Power's top player in her first season with the team. Former Towson University star has very solid stats this year. Davis is in league's top in points (2nd best: 22.3ppg) and averages impressive 54.2% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Queen Egbo (193-C-2000) of league's second-best Shanxi Flame. Egbo had a very good evening with a double-double of 28 points and 17 rebounds. Of course she led Flame to another comfortable win 91-78 over the lower-ranked Shanghai (#6, 8-7) being unquestionably team leader. Shanxi's second position in Group A has not changed. Her team's 12-4 record is not bad at all. Egbo is a newcomer at Shanxi, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Shanxi's star - American center Kalani Brown (201-C-1997, agency: LBM Management). Brown scored 26 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. She was another key player of Shanxi Flame, helping her team with a 91-78 easy win against the lower-ranked Shanghai (#6, 8-7). Flame needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in Group A. Their record at this point is 12 victories and 4 lost games. Brown has a very solid season. In 6 games in China she scored 23.2ppg. She also has 7.2rpg, 1.2bpg and a FGP of 75.7%.
