29-year old American guard Quinndary Weatherspoon (190-G-1996) had an amazing evening in the last round for Qingdao Eagles and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 16.
He had the game-high 30 points adding five rebounds and eight assists for Qingdao E. in his team's victory, helping them to crush Liaoning FL (#11, 7-7) with 16-point margin 86-70. Eagles is placed at 4th position in Chinese league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Qingdao E. will need more victories to improve their 11-4 record. In the team's last game Weatherspoon had a remarkable 90.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Eagles's top player in his first season with the team. Mississippi State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Weatherspoon is in league's top in points (2nd best: 24.0ppg), assists (5th best: 6.5apg) and averages solid 55.3% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Devaughn Akoon-Purcell (196-G/F-1993) of Shandong Heroes. He is Trinidad and Tobago-American swingman in his first season at Shandong H.. In the last game Akoon-Purcell recorded an impressive 38 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course he led Heroes to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Jilin NE T. (#13, 6-9) 108-85. This victory allowed Shandong H. to move up to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 10-4 record is not bad and everything may still change. Akoon-Purcell is a newcomer at Shandong H. and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.8ppg (#9). He also recorded 3.9 assists per game.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Terquavion Smith (193-G-2002) of Shenzhen Leopards (#8). Smith got into 30-points club by scoring 38 points in the last round. He went also for seven rebounds and four assists. He was a key player of Leopards, leading his team to a 107-97 win against the higher-ranked Shanghai S. (#2, 12-3). Shenzhen L. needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 8 victories and 6 lost games. Smith has a great season in China. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.3ppg (6th best).
