Brown's 36-point game gives her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

28-year old American center Kalani Brown (201-C-1997, agency: LBM Management) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Shanxi Flame and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 15.
She had the game-high 36 points adding eight rebounds for Shanxi in her team's victory, helping them to outclass Shaanxi (#12, 2-14) with 43-point margin 107-64. Flame maintains the 2nd position in their group in the Chinese WCBA. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Shanxi will need more victories to improve their 12-4 record. Brown turned to be Flame's top player in her first season with the team. Kalani Brown averages this season 23.2ppg and 7.2rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Beatrice Mompremier (193-F-1996) of Xinjiang Magic Deer. She is American-Hungarian forward in her first season at Xinjiang. In the last game Mompremier recorded an impressive double-double of 24 points and 18 rebounds. Of course she led Magic Deer to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Hebei (#9, 5-11) 110-79. This victory allowed Xinjiang to move up to 7th position in Group A. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But a 8-8 record is not bad and everything may still change. Mompremier is a newcomer at Xinjiang and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Ruthy Hebard (192-F-1998) of Shanghai Baoshan Dahua Swordfish (#6). Hebard scored 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. She was a key player of Swordfish, leading her team to a 97-80 easy win against the lower-ranked Beijing (#10, 4-11). Shanghai needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in Group A. Their record at this point is 8 victories and 7 lost games. Hebard has a great season in China. After 15 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.6ppg (9th best) and rebounds with 12.0rpg (2nd best). She also has 2.5spg, 1.1bpg and a FGP of 66.9%.
