29-year old American center Stephen Zimmerman (211-C-1996, agency: Slash Sports) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked Hunan Changsha and receives a Hoops Agents NBL Player of the Week award for round 8.
He had a double-double of 32 points and 19 rebounds, while his team beat Jiangsu (#7, 4-4) 99-90. Hunan maintains the 2nd position in Chinese NBL. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Hunan will need more victories to improve their 7-2 record. In the team's last game Zimmerman had a remarkable 64.3% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Hunan, being already a very valuable addition to the team. University of Nevada - Las Vegas graduate has very impressive stats this year. Zimmerman is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 13.9rpg) and averages solid 1.1bpg and 67.7% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Jawun Evans (185-PG-1996) of Anhui Wenyi. He is American guard in his first season at Anhui W.. In the last game Evans recorded an impressive double-double of 26 points and 15 assists. Of course he led Anhui W. to another comfortable win outscoring Zhangjiakou (#14, 0-8) 102-80. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Anhui W. dropped in the standings to 12th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-5 record. Evans is one of the most experienced players at Anhui W. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Quade Green (183-PG-1998) of Jiangsu Yannan Suke (#7). Green got into 30-points club by scoring 33 points in the last round. He went also for nine rebounds and eight assists. Despite Green's great performance the Jiangsu lost 90-99 to the higher-ranked Hunan (#2, 7-2). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Jiangsu needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 4 victories and 4 lost games. Green has a great season in China. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 5.5apg (4th best).
