Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Leader Sharks delivered the eleventh win on Sunday night. This time they beat 8th ranked Loongs (7-6) 96-81 in Shanghai. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Loongs. Shanghai outrebounded Shanxi L. 42-31 including 31 on the defensive glass. Shanghai looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Kenneth Lofton Jr (201-2002, college: La Tech) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. American-Qatari Brandon Goodwin (188-1995, college: FGCU) chipped in 22 points and 8 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Marcos Knight (191-1989, college: MTSU, agency: Slash Sports) who recorded 18 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sharks (11-2) have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. Shanghai maintains first place, which they share with Guangdong ST and Guangsha L. Shanxi L. at the other side keeps the eighth position with six games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Shanghai is looking forward to face Shenzhen L. (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Shanxi L. will play against Ningbo R. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Bottom-ranked Blue Whales (0-13) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 106-76 loss to ninth ranked Loong Lions (7-5) in Guangzhou. It was a good game for American Justin Holiday (198-1989, college: Washington) who led his team to a victory with 28 points and 7 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Erik Thomas contributed with 23 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American guard Shamorie Ponds (185-1998, college: St.John's) answered with 26 points and 4 assists for Sichuan. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Guangzhou moved-up to seventh place. Sichuan lost their thirteenth game in a row. They still close the standings with 13 games lost. Guangzhou will play against Tianjin P. (#18) at home in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Sichuan will play against Zhejiang GB. in Hangzhou and hopes to get finally their first victory.
We should mention about the upset which took place in Shenzhen, where 4th placed Ducks (9-4) lost to twelfth ranked Leopards (7-6) in a road game 110-118 on Sunday. It was a great evening for Terquavion Smith who led his team to a victory scoring 45 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 9 assists. The best for the losing side was Eugene German with 34 points (!!!) and 6 assists. Ducks' coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Shenzhen L. moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Ducks keeps the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Qingdao E.. Shenzhen L. will meet at home league's leader Shanghai in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Beijing D. will play against Jiangsu D. and hope to secure a win.

Fujian S. - Tianjin P. 115-94

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 18th ranked Pioneers' (2-11) road loss to seventeenth ranked Sturgeons (5-8) 94-115 on Saturday. Fujian S. made 26-of-31 free shots (83.9 percent) during the game. Fujian S. outrebounded Tianjin P. 40-29 including 27 on the defensive glass. Fujian S. shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists.
