American Kevin Cross (201-F-2000) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's second-best Hunan Changsha and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents NBL Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 25-year old forward had a double-double of 33 points and 16 rebounds, while his team outclassed Shanghai (#4, 5-2) with 33-point margin 88-55. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Hunan maintains the 2nd position in Chinese NBL. They are still close to the very top. Hunan would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 6-1 record. In the team's last game Cross had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range and got six three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He just recently signed at Hunan, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Tulane University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Cross is in league's top in points (8th best: 22.9ppg), rebounds (5th best: 11.0rpg) and averages solid 54.0% FGP and 42.9% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American center Robert Upshaw (213-C-1994) of Jiangsu Yannan Suke. Upshaw impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 30 points and 12 rebounds. It was enough for Jiangsu to edge slightly higher-ranked Hebei (#5, 4-3) by 3 points 97-94. This victory allowed Jiangsu to move up to 7th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 3-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Upshaw is one of the most experienced players at Jiangsu and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 28.5ppg (#2). He also registered 13.7 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Ukrainian Vladyslav Koreniuk (210-C-1994, agency: BIG) of Hebei Xianglan (#5). Koreniuk scored 22 points and grabbed 19 rebounds (!!!). Despite Koreniuk's great performance the Hebei lost 94-97 to slightly lower-ranked Jiangsu (#7, 3-3). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Hebei needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 4 victories and 3 lost games. Koreniuk has a very solid season. In 2 games in China he scored 18.5ppg.
