Wuhan Shengfan (WCBA) added 25-year-old USA ex-international center Olivia Nelson-Ododa (196cm-2000, college: UConn) to their roster. It is her comeback to Shengfan as she has played here before. She played last season at Connecticut Sun (WNBA). In 37 games, she recorded 8.2ppg, 5.0rpg, and 1.2bpg.
In 2022, she was selected by the Los Angeles Sparks (WNBA) during the second round (19th overall) of the draft.
She graduated from the University of Connecticut and it's her fourth season in pro basketball.
Nelson-Ododa was also a member of the USA international program for some years. She played for USA Senior National Team back in 2019 and previously for the Under 18 National Team in 2018.
Nelson-Ododa has played professionally in Australia (Boomers) and China (Vermilion Birds and Flame). Her team made it to the Chinese League Semifinals in 2025. She was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Chinese WCBA Honorable Mention in 2025. Nelson-Ododa played also for High School for one year.
