Guangdong Vermilion Birds (WCBA) have agreed terms with 29-year old Australian international guard Stephanie Reid (168cm-1996, college: Buffalo). She is the second foreign player in the roster, with USA's Aliyah Collier having signed earlier. Reid started the season at PolskaStrefaInwestycji Enea Gorzow Wielkopolski in Polish OBLK. In 10 games, she posted impressive stats: 15.5ppg, 3.7rpg, 5.2apg, and 1.1spg, helping them win the Supercup. She also played 6 games in Eurocup, recording remarkable stats: 16.5ppg, 2.5rpg, and 5.8apg.
Reid has also been a member of the Australian international program for several years. She has played regularly for the Australian senior team since 2024 and previously for the University National Team in 2019.
Her career allowed her to visit three different continents. Reid tasted the life as a pro basketball player in Europe, Australia, and of course North America. She has played professionally also in Australia (Townsville Fire, Southside Flyers, Frankston Blues, Diamond Valley Eagles, and Flames) and Hungary (Sopron).
Among many awards, she was voted Australiabasket.com All-Australian NBL1 South Defensive Player of the Year in 2025.
Reid graduated from University of Buffalo in 2018 and it's her 8th season as a pro player.
