American Point guard Chennedy Carter (175-PG-1998) had a very impressive game in the last round for Shanghai Baoshan Dahua Swordfish, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 27-year old player had a double-double of 40 points and 16 rebounds, while her team outclassed Shaanxi (#12, 1-9) with 33-point margin 97-64. Swordfish is placed at 6th position in Chinese WCBA. Shanghai is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 5-5 record. In the team's last game Carter had a remarkable 54.2% from 2-point range. She turned to be Swordfish's top player in her first season with the team. Former Texas A&M University star has very solid stats this year. Carter is league's best scorer averaging so far 31.7ppg. Carter is in league's top in assists (6th best: 4.6apg) and averages impressive 52.7% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Canadian Phillipina Kyei (203-C-2003) of league's second-best Hefei. Kyei had a very good evening with a double-double of 29 points and 18 rebounds. Of course she led Hefei to another comfortable win outscoring Ganzhou (#6, 0-9) 103-67. Hefei's second position in Group B has not changed. Her team's 7-2 record is not bad at all. Kyei is a newcomer at Hefei, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Cheyenne Parker-Tyus (193-F-1992) of Shandong Sports Lottery (#3). Parker-Tyus scored 29 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. She was a key player of Sports Lottery, leading her team to a 100-96 win against the lower-ranked Beijing (#10, 3-7). Shandong needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in Group A. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 3 lost games. Parker-Tyus has a great season in China. After only 8 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.9ppg (8th best). She also has 1.3bpg and a FGP of 65.8%.
