Xinjiang Magic Deer (WCBA) strengthened their roster with the addition of 26-year-old American 188cm guard Morgan Jones (college: Louisville). She already started the season at VBW Arka Gdynia in Polish OBLK. She managed to play in three leagues this year. The team played in three different competitions that year, and she was exposed to basketball on different levels. In 5 OBLK games, she recorded very impressive stats: 19.0ppg, 7.2rpg, and 5.4apg. Jones also played 1 game in Euroleague where she had 9 points, 4 rebounds, and 1 block. Finally, she recorded 2 games in Eurocup where she averaged 14.5ppg, 2.5rpg, 2.0apg, 2.0spg, and 1.5bpg. Last season, she played at MGS Panserraikos Serres in the Greek league.
Thanks to Jones' pro career, she managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Latin America, and North America). She has played professionally in Greece (PAOK Thessaloniki) and Mexico (Fuerza Regia). Her team made it to the Mexican LNBPF Semifinals in 2025.
Among many awards, she was voted Eurobasket.com All-Greek League Guard of the Year in 2024.
Jones graduated from the University of Louisville in 2023, and it is her third season in pro basketball. She played for Florida State University for 4 years.
