Chinese WCBA round 7 best performance: Kayla Davis

Canadian Guard Kayla Davis (170-G-1995) put on an amazing game in the last round for Hebei Win Power, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 30-year old player had a double-double of 32 points and 12 rebounds, while her team beat Zhejiang (#11, 1-6) 86-75. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings in Group A. Power maintains the 10th position in their group in the Chinese WCBA. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 5 games and recorded just two victories. In the team's last game Davis had a remarkable 78.9% from 2-point range. She turned to be Power's top player in her first season with the team. Former Towson University star has very solid stats this year. Davis is in league's top in points (3rd best: 20.3ppg) and averages impressive 54.2% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Nigerian Blessing Ejiofor (196-C-1998) of Fujian Zoten. Ejiofor had a very good evening with a double-double of 28 points and 20 rebounds. Of course she led Fujian Nanan to another comfortable win outscoring Ganzhou (#6, 0-7) 92-67. Fujian Z.'s 5th position in Group B has not changed. 5 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Fujian Nanan managed to get this year. Ejiofor is a newcomer at Fujian Z., but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Chennedy Carter (175-PG-1998) of Shanghai Baoshan Dahua Swordfish (#9). Carter got into 30-points club by scoring 34 points in the last round. She went also for eleven rebounds and four assists. Despite Carter's great performance the Swordfish lost 91-102 to the higher-ranked Jiangsu (#2, 5-2). But her team cannot count on just a single shooter as she also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Shanghai not to end season at such low position in Group A, however are less than slim as they have already lost 5 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Carter could try to bring Shanghai's a little bit higher in the standings. Carter has individually a great season in China. After only 8 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 30.9ppg (best scorer) and assists with 4.9apg (6th best).

9. Beatrice Mompremier (193-F-1996) of Xinjiang - 22 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Song Gao (190-F-1992) of Sichuan - 20 points and 8 rebounds
