American Sidney Cooks (193-F/C-1998) had a very impressive game in the last round for Shaanxi Red Wolves and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 27-year old power forward had a double-double of 40 points and 17 rebounds, while her team beat (#0, ), the league's bottom-ranked team 92-81. Red Wolves is placed at 11th position in Chinese WCBA. The season is still in it's early stage, so the team may have a chance to improve their current position in the standings. They lost 4 games and had just one victory. In the team's last game Cooks had a remarkable 68.4% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 6 attempts. She was a key player of Hefei, leading her team to a 91-74 easy win against #2 ranked Henan in a game of the week. Hefei needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in Group B. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 2 lost games. Nared has a very solid season. In 2 games in China she scored 16.5ppg.
