Te'a Cooper (ex Tarbes) agreed terms with Liaoning

Te'a Cooper

Liaoning Henye (WCBA) signed 28-year-old American 173cm point guard Te'a Cooper (college: Baylor) for the upcoming season. She last played at Tarbes Gespe Bigorre in the French Regional League. In 14 LFB games, she averaged 4.5ppg and 1.3rpg last season. Cooper contributed to their success in reaching the French League final and Cup semifinals.
In 2020, she was selected by the Phoenix Mercury (WNBA) in the second round (18th overall) of the draft.
Cooper graduated from Baylor University, and it will be her sixth season in pro basketball.
She was a member of the USA U19 National Team in 2015.
Cooper has played professionally in the WNBA with the LA Sparks.
Among many awards, Cooper's team won the Big 12 Regular Season in 2020. She was also voted to the Nancy Lieberman Point Guard of the Year Award Finalist back in 2020 during her college time. Cooper played for other colleges such as the University of South Carolina and the University of Tennessee.
