Wuhan Shengfan (WCBA) has agreed to terms with 30-year-old American center Tearra Banks (188cm-1995, college: Austin Peay) for the new 2025-26 season. She is the second foreign player on the roster, with Nigerian Ezinne Kalu signing earlier. Banks played last season at Atenienses de Manati in Puerto Rican BSNF, averaging 6.0ppg and 3.0rpg in two recent games. She previously played for Fujian Nanan.
She is a very experienced player, having played in four different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia, and North America). Banks has played professionally in Bulgaria (Beroe), Israel, and Turkey (Burhaniye, Kircicegi Bodrum, Botas Gelisim Ankara, Istanbulgucu, and Uludag).
She received the Eurobasket.com All-Turkish KBSL Honorable Mention award in 2019.
She graduated from Austin Peay State University in 2017 and it'll be her ninth season as a pro player.
