Kai James (ex Caguas) is a newcomer at Beijing

Beijing Great Wall (WCBA) added 30-year-old American center Kai James (196cm-1995, college: FSU) to their roster for the 2025-26 season. She played for Criollas de Caguas in Puerto Rican BSNF last season, averaging 13.9ppg, 10.3rpg, and 2.6apg in 20 games. She was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Puerto Rican League Honorable Mention. Kai James also played for Azour in the Lebanese league.
In 2017, she was drafted by the New York Liberty (WNBA) in the third round (34th overall).
James graduated from Florida State University and it will be her ninth season in pro basketball.
She is quite an experienced player. Thanks to James' pro career, she managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, and of course North America) in twelve different countries. James has played professionally in Belarus (BC Minsk), Colombia (Bucaros), Israel (Maccabi Ironi Ramat Gan), Jordan (Al Fuheis), Lebanon, Mexico (Libertadoras), Poland (Lublin), Russia (Dynamo Novosibirsk Region), Spain (Gran Canaria and Tenerife), Turkey (Samsun and Nesibe), and China (Magic Deer).
Between 2023 and 2024, her team achieved great success, making it to the Liga Sudamericana Semifinals and her individual performance earned her a spot on the Eurobasket.com Russian PBL All-Imports Team.
