Asiabasket U16: Japan fire past China for 2-0 record in Group B

Japan claimed the second victory at the U16 Asian Championship Group B. They rallied past their arch rivals China to stay undefeated. Miya Takeuchi (161-G-2009) posted 23 points, while Nene Gondo (167-F-2009) and Honoka Yasui (168-G-2010) provided 10 points each for the winners.
China led by four points after ten minutes of action 18-14. Japan ignited a 21-14 rally in the second frame to snatch a 35-32 halftime lead. Japan extended the lead in the third term. They piled up a decisive 15-point advantage heading into the fourth frame and never looked back en route to the win.
Yuanshan Li (178-F-2009) finished with 20 points, while Hanyun Sun (189-C-2010) added 13 points for China.
