Guangdong sign Blessing Ejiofor

Blessing Ejiofor

Guangdong Vermilion Birds (WCBA) signed 27-year-old Nigerian international Blessing Ejiofor (college: WVU) for the upcoming season. She is the second foreign player on the roster, with USA's Aliyah Collier having signed earlier. Ejiofor most recently played at Alpo in Italian Serie A2, where she averaged 10.5ppg and 9.3rpg in 11 Serie A1 games last season. She also played for Celta Femxa Zorka Vigo (LF Endesa) in the Spanish league.
She represented Nigeria at the FIBA Olympic Games in Paris (France) last year. During this event, she scored an average of 0.5 ppg and had rpg.
Ejiofor has also played professionally in France (Nice and Calais) and Spain (CD Talent).
She played in the final of Big 12 Tournament in 2021. She was voted to Eurobasket.com All-French LF2 Honorable Mention in 2024.
Ejiofor graduated from West Virginia University in 2022 and it will be her fourth season in pro basketball. She played for other colleges like Chipola College and Vanderbilt University.
