CBK Mersin (KBSL) signed 26-year-old Chinese international 201cm center Li Yueru for the upcoming season. She is the second import player on the roster, with German Luisa Geiselsoeder having signed earlier. Li Yueru most recently played for the Dallas Wings (WNBA), averaging 7.4ppg, 5.8rpg, and 1.0apg in 22 games . She also played for the Storm in the WNBA.
In 2019, she was selected by the Atlanta Dream (WNBA) in the third round (35th overall) of the draft.
Yueru has been a member of the Chinese international program for some years. She has regularly played for the Chinese senior team since 2017 and previously for the Under 19 National Team in 2017.
She also represented China at the FIBA Olympic Games in Paris (France) last year. During this event she scored an average of 17.7 ppg and had rpg.
Yueru has played in the WNBA (LA Sparks and Chicago Sky), Turkey (Besiktas, Galatasaray, and Bodrum), and China (Vermilion Birds and Mongolia). Her team was the regular season runner-up in the Turkish League in 2025.
Among many awards, she was voted to Eurobasket.com All-FIBA Olympic Games Honorable Mention in 2024.
