Blakes' double-double lands him NBL Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

32-year old American shooting guard Gerry Blakes (193-SG-1993) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Hefei Kuangfeng and receives a Hoops Agents NBL Player of the Week award for round 18.
He got a double-double of 23 points and 13 assists, while his team crushed Hebei (11-9) with 21-point margin 110-89. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Hefei is placed at 3rd position in Chinese NBL. Hefei is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 11-9 record. In the team's last game Blakes had a remarkable 76.9% from 2-point range. He turned to be Hefei's top player in his first season with the team. Arizona State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Blakes is in league's top in points (4th best: 23.9ppg), assists (4th best: 5.3apg) and averages solid 63.1% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Isaiah Briscoe (190-PG-1996) of Jiangxi Ganchi. He is American guard in his first season at Jiangxi. In the last game Briscoe recorded an impressive 44 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Bad luck as Jiangxi lost that game 93-104 to the higher-ranked Hunan (#2, 13-7). Jiangxi is still second from the bottom in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 8-12 record. Briscoe is a newcomer at Jiangxi and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 28.4ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 5.8rpg and 5.3apg.

Third place about best performers goes to center Djordje Gagic (210-C-1990, agency: Alti Sport) of Guangxi Rhino (#7). Gagic scored 28 points and grabbed 18 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Guangxi, leading his team to a 120-93 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Hubei (#8, 1-19). The chances of Guangxi ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 12 games, recording just eight victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Gagic could help Guangxi to bring them higher in the standings. Gagic has a great season in China. After 16 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.3rpg (4th best).

10. Devonte Green (190-G-1997) of Jiangsu YS - 26 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists
