Shandong Heroes (CBA) re-signed 28-year old American 206cm power forward Marquese Chriss (college: Washington) for upcoming season. He was a team leader there last season. In 42 CBA games he recorded very impressive stats: 20.4ppg, 8.3rpg, 2.4apg and 1.5spg. Great season indeed as he was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Chinese League Third Team.
The previous (2023-24) season he played at Herd in NBA G League.
In 2016 he was drafted by Sacramento Kings (NBA) in first round (8th overall). The former University of Washington standout is in his tenth season in pro basketball.
He has played professionally in other USA team and NBA (Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks, GS Warriors, Houston Rockets and Phoenix Suns).
Among many awards Chriss' team made it to the InterContinental Cup Final Four in 2023. Chriss was selected to Pac-12 All-Freshman Honorable Mention back in 2016.
