Wuhan lands Olivia Nelson-Ododa

Olivia Nelson-Ododa

Wuhan Shengfan (WCBA) signed 25-year-old USA e196cm center Olivia Nelson-Ododa (college: UConn) for the upcoming season. She currently plays for Connecticut Sun (WNBA), averaging 8.3ppg, 5.0rpg, and 1.2bpg in 36 games last season. Prior to that, she played for Flame.
Three years ago, she was drafted by the Los Angeles Sparks (WNBA) in the second round (19th overall).
She graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2022, and it will be her fourth season in pro basketball.
Nelson-Ododa was also a member of the USA international program for some years. She played for USA Senior National Team back in 2019 and previously for the Under 18 National Team in 2018.
Nelson-Ododa has played ppg in Australia (Boomers) and China (Vermilion Birds).
Among many awards, she played in the final of NCAA in 2022. She was also voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Chinese WCBA Forward of the Year in 2024. Nelson-Ododa played for High School for one year.
