Wuhan adds Kalu to their roster

Ezinne Kalu

Wuhan Shengfan (WCBA) added 33-year-old American guard Ezinne Kalu to their roster for the 2025-26 season. She has a Nigerian passport and played for Zhejiang last season. In 33 WCBA games, she averaged 21.5ppg, 4.2rpg, 3.8apg, and 2.5spg. Kalu was named League Player of the Week twice and made the Asia-Basket.com All-Chinese WCBA Third Team. In the summer of 2024, she played for Dream in the WNBA.
Kalu has been a member of the Nigerian international program for some years. She has regularly played for the Nigerian senior team since 2016 and previously for the Under 19 National Team in 2011.
Kalu also represented Nigeria at the FIBA Olympic Games in Paris (France) last year. During this event she scored an average of 10 ppg and had 3 rpg.
She is a very experienced player. Kalu has played professionally in France (Landerneau), Germany (Stars), Hungary (Vasas Akademia), Italy (Roma), Portugal (Olivais and Clube Desportivo Torres Novas), Russia (Dynamo Kursk), and Turkey (Kayseri).
She has won many awards during her career, including playing in the final of the Russian PBL in 2023. In 2024, she was selected to the Eurobasket.com Italian Serie A1 All-Imports Team.
Kalu graduated from Savannah State University in 2015 and it will be her 11th season as a pro player.
