Nigerian-American E.J. Anosike (199-G/F-1998) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Hebei Xianglan and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents NBL Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 27-year old swingman had a double-double of 28 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat Jiangxi (#6, 3-6) 105-96. Hebei is placed at 4th position in Chinese NBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Hebei will need more victories to improve their 6-4 record. In the team's last game Anosike had a remarkable 56.3% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Hebei, through which he has constantly improved. California State University, Fullerton graduate has very impressive stats this year. Anosike is in league's top in points (3rd best: 26.4ppg), rebounds (5th best: 9.0rpg) and averages solid 63.2% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American center Robert Upshaw (213-C-1994) of Jiangxi Ganchi. Upshaw impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 30 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Jiangxi lost that game 96-105 to slightly higher-ranked Hebei (#4, 6-4). Jiangxi is still second from the bottom in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-6 record. Upshaw is one of the most experienced players at Jiangxi and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.2ppg (#6). He also registered 10.2 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Serbian Djordje Gagic (210-C-1990, agency: Alti Sport) of Guangxi Rhino (#7). Gagic showcased his all-around game by recording 22 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. Despite Gagic's great performance the Guangxi lost 94-99 to the higher-ranked HK JinNiu (#1, 8-1). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Guangxi can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-7 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Gagic has individually a great season in China. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.6rpg (3rd best).
