30-year old American Dakari Johnson (213-C/F-1995) had a great game in the last round for Hunan Changsha and receives a Hoops Agents NBL Player of the Week award for round 4.
He had a double-double of 40 points and 20 rebounds, while his team beat Hebei (#5, 3-3) 109-99. Thanks to this victory Hunan moved-up to the 4th position in Chinese NBL. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Hunan will need more victories to improve their 4-2 record. Johnson has many years of experience at Hunan, through which he has constantly improved. University of Kentucky graduate has very impressive stats this year. Johnson is in league's top in points (4th best: 25.2ppg) and averages solid 60.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Melvin Frazier Jr. (196-G/F-1996) of Jiangxi Ganchi. He is American swingman in his first season at Jiangxi. In the last game Frazier Jr. recorded an impressive 35 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Jiangxi was edged by the higher-ranked Hefei (#3, 4-2) 89-86. This loss caused Jiangxi to drop to 6th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 3-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Frazier Jr. is one of the most experienced players at Jiangxi and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 29.3ppg (#1). He also registered 9.2 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Joe Lawson (200-PF-1992) of Guangxi Rhino (#7). Lawson scored 28 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Despite Lawson's great performance the Guangxi lost 94-102 to the higher-ranked Jiangsu YS (#2, 4-2). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Guangxi can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-5 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Lawson has a very solid season. In 5 games in China he scored 22.4ppg. Lawson attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.
