Johnson inks at Hefei at the beginning of her pro career

Diamond Johnson

WCBA newcomer Hefei added 23-year-old American point guard Diamond Johnson to their roster for the 2025-26 season. She just graduated from Norfolk State University (NCAA). In 35 games, she recorded impressive stats: 18.9ppg, 6.1rpg, 4.1apg, and 3.6spg last season. She helped them win the MEAC Tournament and finish the regular season at the top position.
Johnson started her college career at North Carolina State University (NCAA). During Johnson's high school career, she had spent at St. John Neumann Goretti High School in Philadelphia, PA.
As mentioned above, she is just out of college and it will be her first full season as a pro.
She represented the USA at the World Cup U19 for Women in Debrecen (Hungary) four years ago. Her team won Gold and she had almost 13 points per game. She was voted All-MEAC Player of the Year in 2025.
