Collier re-signs at Guangdong

Aliyah Collier

Guangdong Vermilion Birds (WCBA) confirmed 27-year-old American guard Aliyah Collier (183cm-1997, college: Clemson) in their roster for the new 2025-26 season. She was a team leader there last season. In 44 WCBA games, she had impressive stats: 18.5ppg, 7.1rpg, 3.4apg, and 2.4spg. She helped them win the League title despite ending the regular season in second place. She was voted Asia-Basket.com All-Chinese WCBA Finals MVP, named to the All-Defensive Team, and named to the All-Imports Team. The previous (2024) summer, she played for Phoenix in the U.S. semi-pro league WPBA.
Collier is quite an experienced player. Her career allowed her to visit three different continents, while she played in five different countries. She tasted the life as a pro basketball player in Europe, Latin America, and of course North America. Collier has played professionally in Chile (Los Leones), Finland (Kouvottaret), Iceland (Njardvik), Portugal (Sportiva), and Turkey (Bodrum).
Among many awards, she was selected Eurobasket.com All-Icelandic League Player of the Year in 2023.
She graduated from Clemson University in 2019 and it'll be her seventh season as a pro player.
