Changsha adds Jones to their roster

Hunan Changsha (NBL) added to their roster experienced 36-year old American guard Dominique Jones (193cm-98kg-1988, college: S.Florida). He just played at Jilin Northeast Tigers (CBA)the team from Changsha. In 35 games he recorded very impressive stats: 30.2ppg, 8.5rpg, 10.3apg and 2.3spg last season. NBL will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time. Good season as he was named League Player of the Week (6 times). The last season summer he played at another Chinese team HK JinNiu.
In 2010 he was drafted by Memphis Grizzlies (NBA) in first round (25th overall). The former University of South Florida star is in his 15th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
He is quite experienced player. Jones' career allowed him to visit three different continents, while he played in six different countries. Jones tasted the life as a pro basketball player in Asia, Latin America and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in Iran (Petrochimi and Azad), Puerto Rico (Osos), NBA (Dallas Mavericks), China (Flying Leopards, Loongs, Flying Tigers, Eagles and Monkey Kings), NBA G League (Texas Legends and Springfield A.) and The Basketball Tournament (Armored Athlete, Team DRC, Sideline Cancer and Florida TNT).
Among many awards he was also voted Asia-Basket.com All-Iranian Superleague Player of the Year back in 2017.
It's very possible he may end his playing career at Changsha.
