Mongolia players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Vermilion Birds' players. American center Kalani Brown (201-1997, college: Baylor, agency: LBM Management) notched a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds (on 16-of-18 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and the former international forward Ru Zhang (179-1999) supported her with 11 points and 10 assists. Even 21 points and 6 rebounds by American guard Aliyah Collier (183-1997, college: Clemson) did not help to save the game for Vermilion Birds. The former international Huang Sijing (192-1996) added 13 points and 9 rebounds for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Vermilion Birds' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.

Yuanda dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Flame's 28 and made 20-of-22 free shots (90.9 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Flame 46-32 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Yuanda looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Australian center Elizabeth Cambage (205-1991) had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Meng Li (185-1995) chipped in 18 points and 9 assists during the contest. Five Yuanda players scored in double figures. American center Olivia Nelson-Ododa (196-2000, college: UConn) responded with 11 points and 7 rebounds and her fellow American import center Mercedes Russell (198-1995, college: Tennessee) scored 3 points and 10 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
