There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in CBA. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Guangsha Lions (37-7) in Dongguan on Monday night. Visitors were defeated by seventh ranked Guandong Tigers (29-15) 84-74. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Guangsha Lions. Guangdong ST made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Guangdong ST made 14 blocks. 26 personal fouls committed by Guangsha L. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Eric Moreland (208-1991, college: Oregon St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 blocks. The former international point guard Jie Xu (181-2000) contributed with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American James Nunnally (201-1990, college: UCSB) replied with 26 points and 4 assists for Guangsha L.Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guangdong ST maintains seventh position with 29-15 record, which they share with Qingdao E. Guangsha L. at the other side still keeps top place with seven games lost. Guangdong ST is looking forward to face Jilin NE T. (#14) in Changchun in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Guangsha L. will play at home against Ningbo R. (#17) and is hoping to win this game.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Loongs (32-12) against eleventh ranked Royal Fighters (26-17) on Monday night. Visiting Loongs were defeated by Royal Fighters in a tough game in Beijing 107-116. American center Jared Sullinger (206-1992, college: Ohio St.) had a double-double by scoring 31 points, 18 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Grant Riller chipped in 15 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists during the contest. At the losing side Guinean-American Hamidou Diallo (198-1998, college: Kentucky) responded with 20 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Royal Fighters have a solid three-game winning streak. Beijing moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Shanghai. Shanxi L. at the other side keeps the second position with 12 games lost. Beijing will play against higher ranked Liaoning (#6) in Yingkou in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Shanxi L. will play on the road against Tianjin (#16) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Flying Tigers (30-13) against eighth ranked Eagles (29-15) on Monday night. Visiting Flying Tigers were crushed by Eagles in Qingdao 106-82. Quinndary Weatherspoon notched 35 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) to lead the effort. Even 15 points and 8 assists by QJ Peterson did not help to save the game for Xinjiang. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Eagles have a solid four-game winning streak. Qingdao E. moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Guangdong ST. Loser Flying Tigers dropped to the fifth position with 13 games lost. Qingdao E. will meet at home Shanghai (#10) in the next round. Xinjiang will play against Shanghai (#10) and hope to secure a win.

Other games in round 46 were not that significant. Liaoning beat Shanghai on the road 111-110. Shenzhen L. was destroyed by Fujian S. on its own court 105-131. Guangzhou managed to outperform Jilin NE T. in a road game 104-90. Sichuan was rolled over Shandong H. at home 80-105. Beijing D. defeated Nanjing on the opponent's court 101-98. Ningbo R. was beaten by Tianjin in a home game 104-111. Bottom-ranked Jiangsu D. lost to Zhejiang GB. on the road 85-95.
The most impressive performance of 46th round was 26 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists by Gabe York of Zhejiang GB..



Shanghai S. - Liaoning FL 110-111

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Flying Leopards (30-14) edged 10th ranked Sharks (26-17) in Shanghai 111-110 on Sunday. Liaoning looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The former international Zhenlin Zhang (206-1999, college: Tulane) notched 28 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and the former international center Dejun Han (215-1987) supported him with 11 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 41 points (!!!), 12 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals by American forward Kenneth Lofton Jr (201-2002, college: La Tech) did not help to save the game for Shanghai. Hongquan Li added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Five Liaoning and four Shanghai players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Flying Leopards have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains sixth position with 30-14 record. Loser Sharks keeps the tenth place with 17 games lost. They share the position with Beijing. Liaoning will meet Beijing (#11) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Shanghai will play against Xinjiang and hope to secure a win.

Fujian S. dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Leopards's 54. Fujian S. forced 19 Shenzhen L. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. American guard Joseph Young (188-1992, college: Oregon) notched 27 points and 6 assists to lead the effort and point guard Yiyang Li (181-1998) supported him with 21 points, 9 assists and 5 steals. Even a double-double of 18 points and 15 assists by American point guard Markell Johnson (188-1998, college: NC State) did not help to save the game for Shenzhen L.. Forward Haoran Wang (205-2004) added 22 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures.
