Sports Lottery forced 19 Vermilion Birds turnovers. Australian forward Alanna Smith (193-1996, college: Stanford) notched a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international power forward Yang Hengyu (194-1995) supported her with 20 points. Even 21 points and 8 rebounds by American guard Aliyah Collier (183-1997, college: Clemson) did not help to save the game for Vermilion Birds. The former international Huang Sijing (192-1996) added 19 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.

Five Mongolia players scored in double figures. The former international point guard Wu Tongtong (176-1994) responded with 26 points, 5 assists and 5 steals and American center Kai James (196-1995, college: FSU) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

The best player for the winners was forward Chen Yujie (178-2000) who scored 25 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). American center Olivia Nelson-Ododa (196-2000, college: UConn) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. Puerto Rican-American Arella Guirantes (181-1997, college: Rutgers) produced a triple-double by scoring 20 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists and Brazilian center Kamilla Cardoso (201-2001, college: S.Carolina) added 19 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Swordfish players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.

Yuanda dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Jiangsu's 38. Yuanda looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. The best player for the winners was Australian center Elizabeth Cambage (205-1991) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. The former international forward Meng Li (185-1995) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 assists. Four Yuanda players scored in double figures. DR Congolese power forward Chanel Mokango (188-1988, college: MSU) produced 8 points and 11 rebounds and Nigerian-American forward Michaela Onyenwere (183-1999, college: UCLA) added 9 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
