Chennedy Carter claims Chinese WCBA Hoops Agents weekly honour

American Chennedy Carter (175-PG-1998) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's leader Wuhan Shengfan and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 30.
The 26-year old playmaker had the game-high 50 points adding nine rebounds and four assists for Wuhan in her team's victory, helping them to beat Xiamen (#7, 8-18) 75-69. It allowed hengfan to consolidate first place in the Chinese WCBA. Wuhan have a solid 24-4 record. In the team's last game Carter had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range. She turned to be hengfan's top player in her first season with the team. Texas A&M University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Carter is league's best scorer averaging so far 32.0ppg and is league's best passer with 6.3apg. Carter is in league's top in and averages solid 3.0spg and 55.5% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Dariauna Lewis (185-F-2000) of Xinjiang Magic Deer. Lewis impressed basketball fans with 41 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course she led Magic Deer to another comfortable win 99-81 over slightly lower-ranked Fujian (#6, 1-25) being unquestionably team leader. Xinjiang's 5th position in Group A1 has not changed. 21 lost games are too many comparing to just five victories Magic Deer managed to get this year. Lewis is a newcomer at Xinjiang and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Montenegrin Ana Pocek (190-C-1993) of Liaoning Henye (#5). Pocek showcased her all-around game by recording 26 points, 17 rebounds (!!!) and 5 assists in the last round. She was a key player of Liaoning Hengye, leading her team to a 110-72 easy win against Tianjin (#9, 0-26). Liaoning needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in Group B. Their record at this point is 16 victories and 12 lost games. Pocek has a very solid season. In 27 games in China she scored 19.4ppg. She also has 9.1rpg, 2.6spg and a FGP of 52.3%.

8. Kelsey Mitchell (173-PG-1995) of Shanxi - 29 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists
9. Queen Egbo (193-C-2000) of Shaanxi - 20 points, 16 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Emma Cannon (188-F-1989) of Henan - 26 points, 13 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
