Chinese WCBA round 26 best performance: Kiana Williams

American Point guard Kiana Williams (170-PG-1999) had an amazing evening in the last round for Hefei, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 26.
The 25-year old player had a double-double of 33 points and 11 rebounds, while her team outclassed Ganzhou (#8, 6-18) with 32-point margin 102-70. Hefei maintains the 5th position in their group in the Chinese WCBA. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Hefei will need more victories to improve their 13-9 record. In the team's last game Williams had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range and got seven three-pointers out of 9 attempts. She turned to be Hefei's top player in her first season with the team. Kiana Williams averages this season 17.1ppg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Dariauna Lewis (185-F-2000) of Xinjiang Magic Deer. Lewis had a very good evening with a double-double of 31 points and 12 rebounds. Of course she led Magic Deer to another comfortable win 92-79 over the higher-ranked Zhejiang (#2, 13-11) being unquestionably team leader. Xinjiang's 5th position in Group A1 has not changed. 20 lost games are too many comparing to just four victories Magic Deer managed to get this year. Lewis is a newcomer at Xinjiang, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Brazilian center Kamilla Cardoso (201-C-2001) of Shanghai Baoshan Dahua Swordfish (#3). Cardoso scored 29 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of Swordfish, leading her team to a 91-69 easy win against #4 ranked Jiangsu in a game of the week. Shanghai needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in Group A2. Their record at this point is 16 victories and 8 lost games. Cardoso has a great season in China. After 24 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.5ppg (5th best) and rebounds with 10.5rpg (7th best).

7. Olivia Nelson-Ododa (196-C-2000) of Shanxi - 20 points and 12 rebounds
8. Fu Jinqiu (188-C-1996) of Wuhan - 18 points and 17 rebounds
9. Ana Pocek (190-C-1993) of Liaoning - 28 points and 7 rebounds
10. N'Dea Jones (188-F-1999) of Xinjiang - 20 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists
