Diallo's double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

26-year old GUI-USAn shooting guard Hamidou Diallo (198-SG-1998) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Shanxi Loongs and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 23.
He had a double-double of 44 points and 19 rebounds, while his team edged out Shenzhen L. (#18, 5-18) 130-127. Loongs maintains the 3rd position in Chinese league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Shanxi L. will need more victories to improve their 17-5 record. In the team's last game Diallo had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Loongs's top player in his first season with the team. Hamidou Diallo averages this season 21.1ppg and 7.3rpg.

Second best performed player last round was James Thompson IV (208-C/F-1995) of Jiangsu Nangang Dragons Nanjing. He is American in his first season at Jiangsu D.. In the last game Thompson IV recorded an impressive double-double of 28 points and 21 rebounds. Bad luck as Jiangsu Dragons lost that game 93-101 to the higher-ranked Ningbo R. (#15, 7-16). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Jiangsu D. keeps 19th position. 20 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories Jiangsu Dragons managed to get this year. Thompson IV is a newcomer at Jiangsu D. and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Ying-Chun Chen (182-PG-1993) of Shougang Beijing Ducks (#6). Chen got into 30-points club by scoring 38 points in the last round. He went also for seven assists. Despite Chen's great performance the Ducks lost 107-113 to slightly higher-ranked Shandong H. (#5, 16-7). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Beijing D. needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 15 victories and 6 lost games. Chen has a very solid season. In 20 games in China he scored 12.6ppg. He also has 6.1apg and a FGP of 52.9%.
