Nathan Knight claims Chinese CBA Hoops Agents weekly honour

American Nathan Knight (208-F/C-1997) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's leader Zhejiang Guangsha Lions and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 22.
The 27-year old power forward had a double-double of 31 points and 22 rebounds, while his team beat Nanjing MK (#11, 12-10) 101-88. It allowed Guangsha Lions to consolidate first place in the Chinese CBA. Guangsha L. have a solid 19-3 record. In the team's last game Knight had a remarkable 61.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Guangsha Lions's top player in his first season with the team. Nathan Knight averages this season 13.4ppg and 9.1rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American guard Dominique Jones (193-G-1988) of Jilin Northeast Tigers. Jones impressed basketball fans with 43 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Bad luck as Jilin Tigers lost that game 107-138 to slightly higher-ranked Shanghai S. (#12, 10-10). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Jilin NE T. keeps 13th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 9-13 record. Jones is a newcomer at Jilin NE T. and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 33.3ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 9.3rpg and 10.5apg.

The third best performed player last round was American Kenneth Lofton Jr. (201-F-2002) of Shanghai Sharks (#12). Lofton Jr. showcased his all-around game by recording 25 points, 13 rebounds (!!!) and 9 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Sharks, leading his team to a 138-107 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Jilin NE T. (#13, 9-13). Shanghai needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 10 victories and 10 lost games. Lofton Jr. has a great season in China. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.5rpg (5th best). He also has 1.2bpg and a FGP of 63.2%.
