Shanxi Loongs (CBA) tabbed 32-year old American 191cm guard Walter Lemon Jr. (college: Bradley). He was assist leader at Al Arabi in Qatari QBL league last season where in 8 games he averaged impressive 19.8ppg, 6.3rpg, 7.1apg and 1.0spg. He helped them to win the league title and the cup. Lemon can count that season as a very successful as was awarded Asia-Basket.com All-Qatar D1 Cup Finals MVP, voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Qatar D1 First Team and selected to Asia-Basket.com All-Qatar D1 Cup First Team.
The previous (2023) summer he played at Mineros (LNBP) in Mexican league. He also played for San Carlos (TBS) in Dominican Rep. league.
In 2015 (a year after his graduation) he was drafted by Fort Wayne Mad Ants (D-League) in second round (38th overall).
The former Bradley University standout is in his eleventh (!!!) season in pro basketball.
Lemon has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2014.
He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in fifteen different countries playing on five different continents. Lemon is familiar with European, Asian, Latin American, African and of course North American leagues. He has played previously professionally in Canada (Blackjacks), Dominican Republic, Germany (Hakro Merlins), Greece (Rethymno), Hungary, Israel (Hapoel Tel Aviv), Mexico, Tunisia (Ezzahra and Club Africain), Turkey (Beylikduzu), NBA (New Orleans Pelicans, Chicago Bulls, Boston Celtics and Indiana Pacers), China (Flying Tigers), NBA G League (Indiana Mad Ants, Maine Celtics and Windy City Bulls), The Basketball Tournament (Team 23 and Always a Brave) and NBA Summer League (Chicago Bulls).
