Hapoel Shoval Haifa (Winner League) inked 33-year old American 188cm point guard Kenny Boynton (college: Florida). Boynton played most recently at Sichuan Blue Whales in Chinese CBA league, but left. In 10 games he recorded 9.1ppg, 2.8rpg and 2.2apg last season.
He played in the final of SEC Tournament in 2011 and 2013.
The previous (2023) summer he was tested by Team Challenge ALS in U.S. semi-pro league The Basketball Tournament.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2013.
He is a very experienced player. Boynton has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to six different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in France (Gravelines Dunkerque and SO Maritime Boulogne), Russia (BC Pari Nizhny Novgorod), Turkey (Denizli and Yesilgiresun), Israel (Hapoel Gilboa Galil and Elitzur Maccabi Netanya), China (Pioneers, Boyntonbei, Leopards and Eagles) and The Basketball Tournament (Brothers DB and Florida TNT).
Among many awards he was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Chinese CBA Honorable Mention in 2022.
He graduated from University of Florida in 2013 and it will be his twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball. Boynton played in the final of SEC Tournament in 2011 and 2013.
