Henan Phoenix (WCBA) agreed terms with 25-year old Ugandan international forward Jane Asinde (188cm-1999, college: UTEP) for upcoming 2024-25 season. She played last season at JKL Dolphins in Ugandan NBL league. In 10 games just recently she had 13.2ppg, 6.6rpg, 2.5spg and 1.1bpg. She helped them to win the League title.
Asinde just graduated from University of Texas at El Paso (16.5ppg, 9.0rpg, 1.7apg, 1.7spg) and it will be her first season as a pro. She has been regularly called to the Ugandan Senior National Team since 2023. Asinde was voted to All-C-USA Newcomer of the Year in 2024. She played also for Wichita State University for 2 years.
