Odyssey Sims joins Henan

Odyssey Sims

Henan Phoenix (WCBA) agreed terms with 32-year old USA ex-international point guard Odyssey Sims (175cm-70kg-1992, college: Baylor) for new 2024-25 season. She played last season at LA Sparks (WNBA). In 15 games just recently she had 9.8ppg, 1.7rpg and 5.1apg.
In 2014 she was drafted by Tulsa Shock (WNBA) as #2 pick overall.
The former Baylor University star is in her eleventh (!!!) season in pro basketball.
She was also a member of the USA international program for some years. Sims played for USA Senior National Team between 2014 and 2016 and previously for the University National Team back in 2011.
She also represented USA at the World Championship for Women in Turkey ten years ago. Her team won Gold and she had 4 points per game.
Sims is quite experienced player. Her career allowed her to visit three different continents, while she played in four different countries. She tasted the life as a pro basketball player in Europe, Asia and of course North America. Sims has played previously professionally in Turkey (Botas, Kayseri and Adana ASKI Mersin), WNBA (Connecticut Sun, Dallas Wings, Minnesota Lynx and Atlanta Dream), Turkey and South Korea (Hana 1Q Bucheon).
Among many awards Sims' team was regular season runner-up in WNBA Western Conference in 2017. She was voted to WNBA All-Star Game back in 2019.
