Kelsey Mitchell agreed terms with Shanxi

Shanxi Flame (WCBA) inked 28-year old USA ex-international 173cm point guard Kelsey Mitchell (college: Ohio State) for upcoming season. She played most recently at Indiana Fever (WNBA). In 42 games she just recently played she recorded very impressive stats: 19.2ppg, 2.5rpg and 1.9apg last season. The last season she was tested by Spar UniGirona in Spanish league. She also played 8 games in Spanish LF Endesa where she averaged 12.3ppg, 2.8rpg, 2.3apg and 1.3spg.
In 2018 Indiana Fever voted her as second overall pick in WNBA draft.
The former Ohio State standout is in her seventh season in pro basketball. Mitchell was a member of USA Senior National Team two years ago.
She is a very experienced player. Mitchell has quite traveled the world as her pro career brought her to four different countries on three different continents (Europe, Africa and of course North America). She has played previously professionally in Israel (Elitzur Ramla), Spain, Turkey (Besiktas, Botas and Elazig Il) and Egypt (Al Ahly).
Among many awards Mitchell's team made it to the African Champions Cup Final Four in 2019. Mitchell was selected to WNBA All-Star Game in 2023.
