Zhejiang lands NaLyssa Smith

NaLyssa Smith

Zhejiang Golden Bulls (WCBA) tabbed 24-year old American 193cm forward NaLyssa Smith (college: Baylor) for new season. She played most recently at Indiana Fever (WNBA). In 42 games she just recently played she averaged 10.0ppg and 6.9rpg last season. The last season she played at Galatasaray Cagdas Factoring Istanbul in Turkish league. She also played 23 games in Turkish KBSL where she had very impressive stats: 19.9ppg, 9.3rpg, 1.4apg and 1.0spg. Smith helped them to make it to the semifinals. She can count that season as a very successful as was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Turkish KBSL Honorable Mention and League Player of the Week.
Two years ago Indiana Fever selected her as second overall pick in WNBA draft.
Smith graduated from Baylor University in 2022 and it will be her third season in pro basketball.
She was a member of USA Under 18 National Team back in 2018.
Among many awards she played in the final of Big 12 Tournament in 2022. Smith received Jersey Mike's Naismith Trophy Player of the Year Finalist award and Naismith Defensive Player of the Year Semifinalist award in 2022.
