Loongs land Hamidou Diallo

Hamidou Diallo

Shanxi Loongs (CBA) inked 26-year old American (has also USA-Guinean passport) 198cm shooting guard Hamidou Diallo (college: Kentucky) for upcoming season. He is the second foreign player in the roster as Czech Republic Ondrej Balvin signed here earlier.
He played most recently at Washington Wizards in the NBA. But in two games he averaged just 1.0ppg, 1.0rpg and 1.0spg last season.
For two previous seasons (2021-23) he played at another NBA team the Pistons in NBA.
In 2018 he was drafted by Brooklyn Nets (NBA) in second round (45th overall). The former University of Kentucky standout is in his seventh season in pro basketball.
He represented USA at the World Cup U19 in Cairo (Egypt) seven years ago. His team won Bronze and he had almost 11 points per game.
He has played previously professionally in NBA (OKC Thunder) and NBA Summer League (OKC Thunder).
Diallo's team made it to the NBA G League Winter Showcase Cup Final Four in 2022.
