Guandong Tigers add Barton to their roster, ex Santurce

Will Barton

Guangdong Southern Tigers (CBA) added to their roster 33-year old American shooting guard Will Barton (198cm-82kg-1991, college: Memphis) for new 2024-25 season. He joins another USA player Darius Bazley who is already in the roster.
He played last season at Cangrejeros de Santurce in Puerto Rican BSN league. In 18 games just recently he recorded very impressive stats: 17.2ppg, 4.1rpg and 4.0apg. A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Puerto Rican BSN Honorable Mention. The last season he played at Coviran Granada (Liga Endesa) in Spanish league. He also spent pre-season at PBC CSKA Moscow (VTB United League) in Russian league.
In 2012 he was drafted by Portland Trail Blazers (NBA) in second round (40th overall). The former University of Memphis star is in his 13th (hopefully lucky) season in pro basketball.
He is quite experienced player. Barton has played also professionally in Russia, Spain, NBA (Denver Nuggets, Washington Wizards and Toronto Raptors) and NBA G League (SLC Stars).
Barton's team made it to the NBA Semifinals in 2020.
