NBL Round 16 (Regular Season): Top-ranked Anhui W. wins another game

NBL top team - Anhui W. (17-2) had no problems winning another game on Tuesday. This time they crushed tenth ranked Wuhan (5-14) 101-79. Anhui W. have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 17-2 record. Wuhan at the other side stay at the bottom place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Jiangsu YS. Anhui W. are looking forward to face Hefei (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Wuhan will play against Hebei and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
Important game to mention about took place in Henan. Seventh ranked Henan (6-13) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 9th ranked Jiangsu YS (5-14) 107-104 on Sunday evening. Henan maintains seventh position with 6-13 record, which they share with Hefei. Jiangsu YS lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 14 games lost. Other games in round 16 were not that significant. Bottom-ranked Wuhan was beaten by Jiangxi on the road 93-78. Guangxi won against Hefei on its own court 96-92. Henan unfortunately lost to Hebei in a road game 84-90. HK JinNiu managed to beat Jiangxi at home 101-93. Changsha defeated Jiangsu YS on the opponent's court 80-72.

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Changsha (12-7) defeated 9th ranked Jiangsu YS (5-14) in Yannan 80-72. Changsha maintains third position with 12-7 record having five points less than leader Anhui W. Jiangsu YS lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Wuhan. Changsha will play against league's second-placed HK JinNiu in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Jiangsu YS will play against Henan (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
