NBL Round 15 of Regular Season

Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Third defeat of league's leader HK JinNiu (15-3) against sixth ranked Guangxi (8-10) 97-77 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of HK JinNiu. Guangxi moved-up to fifth place. HK JinNiu at the other side dropped to the second position with three games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Anhui W.. HK JinNiu will play next round against Jiangxi trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Guangxi will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Hefei at home.
The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Anhui W. as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Anhui W. defeated 7th ranked Hefei at home 83-71. Anhui W. (16-2) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Hefei at the other side keeps the seventh place with 12 games lost. Hefei will play next round against Guangxi trying to get back on the winning streak. Anhui W. will try to continue on its current victory against tenth ranked Wuhan at home.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Changsha (11-7) against fourth ranked Hebei (10-8) on Saturday night. Visiting Changsha was defeated by Hebei in a tough game in Hebei 84-91. Hebei maintains fourth place with 10-8 record. Loser Changsha keeps the third position with seven games lost. Hebei will meet at home Henan (#8) in the next round. Changsha will play against Jiangsu YS (#9) in Yannan and hope to secure a win.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 15: HK JinNiu beat Changsha on the road 103-99. Hefei lost to Hebei on its own court 110-118. Henan was outscored by Wuhan in a road game 68-102.



Changsha - HK JinNiu 99-103

No shocking result in a game when first ranked HK JinNiu (15-3) beat on the road 3rd placed Changsha (11-7) 103-99 on Thursday. Despite that victory HK JinNiu went down to second position due to points difference. Loser Changsha keeps the third place with seven games lost. HK JinNiu will meet at home Jiangxi (#6) in the next round. Changsha will play against Jiangsu YS in Yannan and hope to secure a win.

Hefei - Hebei 110-118

Rather expected game when 7th ranked Hefei (6-12) lost at home to fourth ranked Hebei (10-8) 118-110 on Thursday. Hebei maintains fourth place with 10-8 record. Loser Hefei keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost. Hebei will meet at home Henan (#8) in the next round. Hefei will play against Guangxi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Wuhan - Henan 102-68

There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Wuhan (5-12) rolled over at home 8th ranked Henan (5-12) 102-68 on Friday. Wuhan moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Henan and Jiangsu YS. Henan lost their third game in a row. Wuhan will meet league's leader Anhui W. on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Henan will play against Hebei (#4) and hope to secure a win.

Hebei - Changsha 91-84
