Sichuan keeps Cambage for another season

Sichuan JinQiang Chengdu (WCBA) re-signed 32-year old Australian 205cm center Elizabeth Cambage for season 2024-25. She was a team leader there last season. In 18 WCBA games she recorded very impressive stats: 23.1ppg, 11.3rpg, 2.7apg and 1.4spg. She helped them to win the WCBA title despite they ended the regular season at the second place. Great season indeed as she was awarded Asia-Basket.com All-Chinese WCBA Player of the YearFinals MVP. The previous (2022-23) season she played at Maccabi Bnot Ashdod in Israeli league.
In 2011, Tulsa Shock selected her as the second overall pick in the WNBA draft.
Cambage was also a member of the Australian international program for some years. She played for the Australian Senior National Team between 2009 and 2021 and previously for the Under 20 National Team back in 2006.
Cambage also represented Australia at the World Championships (FIBA World Cup) in Tenerife (Spain) six years ago. She was the best scorer at the tournament with almost 24 points per game, while she helped her team to win Silver.
Thanks to Cambage's pro career, she has played on four different continents - Europe, Asia, Australia, and North America. She has played professionally in Australia (Boomers, Southside Flyers, and Australian Institute of Sport), Israel, WNBA (Dallas Wings, LA Sparks, and LV Aces), and China (Beijing Great Wall, Swordfish, Golden Bulls, and Flame).
