Xinjiang Flying Tigers (CBA) added to their roster experienced 34-year old American guard Dominique Jones (193cm-98kg-1988, college: S.Florida) for season 2023-24. Jones played this summer at Sideline Cancer (The Basketball Tournament) in the U.S.
In 2010 he was drafted by Memphis Grizzlies (NBA) in first round (25th overall). The former University of South Florida star is in his 14th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
He is quite experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Asia, Latin America and of course North America) in six different countries. Jones has played previously professionally in Iran (Petrochimi and Azad), Puerto Rico (Osos), NBA (Dallas Mavericks), China (Flying Leopards, Loongs, Jilin Tigers, Eagles and Monkey Kings), NBA G League (Texas Legends and Springfield A.) and The Basketball Tournament (Armored Athlete, Team DRC and Florida TNT). Jones' team made it to the Iranian Superleague Semifinals in 2017 and 2018. He was voted to All-Big East Honorable Mention back in 2008 and 2009.
