NBL Round 14: Shaanxi defeat Guangxi in the game between Top 4 teams

An interesting game for Shaanxi (12-3) which hosted in Xian 4th ranked Guangxi (8-7). First ranked Shaanxi had an easy win 113-93. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Guangxi. Shaanxi maintains first position with 12-3 record. Guangxi at the other side dropped to the fifth place with seven games lost. Shaanxi are looking forward to face Henan (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Guangxi will play against the league's second-placed Anhui W. (#2) and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
Bottom-ranked Wuhan managed to get the second consecutive victory. This time they won against eleventh-ranked Henan 96-91. Wuhan (5-10) moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Henan and HK JinNiu. Wuhan will play against higher ranked Liaoning Y. (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Henan will play against the league's leader Shaanxi (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
The game between fifth ranked Hunan (9-6) and 8th ranked Hefei (6-9) in Changsha on Sunday ended with biggest points difference. Hunan outscored guests from 133-113. Hunan moved-up to fourth place. Loser Hefei dropped to the seventh position with nine games lost. They share it with Hebei and Jiangsu YS. Hunan will meet Jiangxi (#6) in the next round. Hefei will play against HK JinNiu and hope to secure a win.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 14: HK JinNiu was beaten by Anhui W. on the road 96-79. Liaoning Y. won against Hebei on its own court 126-111. Jiangsu YS unfortunately lost to Jiangxi in a road game 111-126.

Hunan - Hefei 133-113

Anhui W. - HK JinNiu 96-79

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Anhui W. (11-4) beat at home 10th ranked HK JinNiu (5-10) 96-79 on Sunday. Anhui W. have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 11-4 record behind leader Shaanxi. Newly promoted HK JinNiu keeps the tenth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Henan and Wuhan. Anhui W. will meet Guangxi (#5) on the road in the next round. HK JinNiu will play against Hefei (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Newly promoted Liaoning Y. maintains third position with 10-5 record having just two points less than leader Shaanxi. Loser Hebei dropped to the seventh place with nine games lost. They share the position with Jiangsu YS and Hefei. Liaoning Y. will meet bottom-ranked Wuhan (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hebei will play against Jiangsu YS (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Jiangxi - Jiangsu YS 126-111

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Jiangxi and 7th ranked Jiangsu YS had identical 6-8 record. This time Jiangxi used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Yannan 126-111 on Sunday night. Jiangxi (7-8) moved-up to sixth place. Jiangsu YS lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with nine games lost. They share it with Hebei and Hefei. Jiangxi will meet at home higher ranked Hunan (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Jiangsu YS will play against Hebei and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
