Chinese CBA round 16 best performance: Eric Bledsoe

American Point guard Eric Bledsoe (185-PG-1989) had an amazing evening in the last round for Shanghai S., receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 16.
The 33-year old player had a double-double of 51 points and 18 rebounds, while his team beat Jiangsu D. (#11, 8-7) 116-101. Shanghai S. is placed at 7th position in Chinese CBA. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Shanghai S. will need more victories to improve their 9-6 record. In the team's last game Bledsoe had a remarkable eleven three-pointers out of 22 attempts. He turned to be Shanghai S.'s top player in his first season with the team. Eric Bledsoe averages this season 20.5ppg and 6.2rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Antonio Blakeney (193-G-1996) of Jiangsu D.. Blakeney had a very good evening with a double-double of 44 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Jiangsu D. lost that game 101-116 to the higher-ranked Shanghai S. (#7, 9-6). This loss caused Jiangsu D. to drop to 11th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 8-7 record is not bad and everything may still change. Blakeney is a newcomer at Jiangsu D., but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 32.2ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 7.8rpg and 4.7apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was South Sudanese center Jo Lual-Acuil Jr. (213-C-1994) of Nanjing TX MK (#6). Lual-Acuil Jr. showcased his all-around game by recording 26 points, thirteen rebounds (!!!) and seven assists in the last round. He was a key player of Nanjing TX MK, leading his team to a 130-109 easy win against the lower-ranked Beijing RF (#14, 7-7). Nanjing TX MK needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 10 victories and 6 lost games. Lual-Acuil Jr. has a very solid season. In 15 games in China he scored 20.7ppg. He also has 12.1rpg, 1.8bpg and FGP: 58.2%.
