Tianjin-Ronggang-Pioneers (CBA) signed 26-year old American forward Scottie James Jr. (202cm-108kg-1996, college: Liberty). James played this summer at Florida TNT (The Basketball Tournament) in the U.S. He managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year. In four TBT games just recently he had only 2.3ppg and 1.3rpg. The last season he played at Hapoel Haifa in Israeli Winner League where in 21 games he recorded 11.8ppg, 6.7rpg and 1.3apg. 2021-22 was a great season as he was invited to participate in the Israeli League All-Star Game Slam Dunk Contest. James also played 2 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he averaged 8.5ppg, 3.0rpg, 3.0apg and 1.0bpg.
He has played also professionally in Germany (EnBW Ludwigsburg and 46ers). His team won A-Sun Tournament in 2019 and 2020.
James graduated from Liberty University in 2020 and it will be his third season as a professional player.
